We have a collaborative approach.

This is why we see ourselves as part of a network and want to contribute as members of an extensive international research community. To this end we foster local, national and international cooperation and dialogue.

The Manja Gideon Foundation collaborates with organizations that share our foundation’s mission.

Our partners so far:

Patient organizations

Krebsliga Zürich

The Krebsliga des Kantons Zürich (the Cancer Alliance of Zurich Canton) is a charitable organization with a central office, a counseling service and a psycho-oncology clinic. The team counsels, supports and assists individuals diagnosed with cancer, as well as their family members. For legal reasons, the entity has been set up as an association. It offers information on topics such as prevention and early diagnosis, and promotes cancer research in the canton of Zurich.

In collaboration with Krebsliga Zürich, the Manja Gideon Foundation has developed and published a small booklet. We believe that lives can be saved if more people are able to recognize the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. The extensive network of Krebsliga Zürich enables data and information to reach a broader segment of the population.

You can download the brochure here: Ovarian Cancer – Early Detection of Symptoms.

Krebsliga Schweiz

According to its mission statement, the Krebsliga Schweiz (The Cancer Alliance of Switzerland) advocates for “a world in which fewer people develop cancer, fewer people suffer and die from the effects of cancer, more people are cured of cancer, and those effected, along with their families, receive care and support through every phase of illness and in death.”

Networks

focusMe.health

The app is a network for women with breast cancer and/or other gynecologic tumors, while also connecting these women with medical professionals in Switzerland. Patients get to know other patients online, where they have a safe space to converse and provide emotional support to one another. In this way focusMe aims to help women feel that they are not alone with the disease.

SwissNGM

The Neurogastro-Motility-Network.
Patients with abdominal symptoms of unexplained origin visit doctors, nutritionists and psychologists every day. They present a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, which in many cases requires a multi-disciplinary approach. We aim to bring together people from centers dedicated to neurogastroenterology and motiliy, exchange research ideas and transfer knowledge.
